The Musicians:

Funk Soul Sister is fronted by some of the UK's most outstanding up-and-coming female vocalists and backed by musicians that are some of the top players in this field of live music.

Members have collectively played with/musically directed the likes of Omar, Shola Ama, Des'ree, Carleen Anderson, Gabrielle, Aaron Soul, and Mica Paris as well as having releases on Acid Jazz Records. They have also held residencies at esteemed venues such as The Fridge (Brixton), The Blue Note (Hoxton/Islington) and the Road House (Covent Garden), as well as appearances at the Jazz Cafe (Camden), Ronnie Scotts (Soho) and Cafe de Paris (Soho).

How does this sussex disco band have such a great line up? Simple, the band members are playing the music they love with other musicians of an equally high calibre, in a function band with outstanding lead vocals and a great sound, and they get paid at the end of the night. Who wouldn't enjoy that?

The Set:

The set is a carefully crafted selection of the greatest dancefloor fillers from the last three decades. Playing nothing but the biggest hits, each song is tried and tested to ensure the audience are on their feet from the very first song to the last.

They also have one or two little surprises up their sleeves to make sure that their performance is remembered for years to come.

The Sound:

Funk Soul Sister aims to sound as authentic as possible, even using original instruments and amps from the 70's.

They are a 100% live band and use no backing tracks , that can so often make a performance sterile and lifeless.

The quality of the vocalists in the band is second to none and really sets Funk Soul Sister apart from the rest. Extraordinary lead vocals with tight harmonies, driven by  one of the most  passionate and dedicated  bands around, give the audience an experience that will be loved by all.

All of this is backed up by top sound engineers (our regular engineer has done sound for Razorlight and Madness and one of our  guest engineers does sound for Diana Ross and Rod Stuart) using professional grade P.A. equipment that is tailored to meet the needs of each individual event. This really gives the band a chance to shine and deliver an exceptional performance time and time again.
